Grunion Time!

Ok so someone had the idea to go grunion fishing last week. Who in the hell wants to touch these little sperm soaking fish anyways? Well we ended up going to HB and not a grunion in sight! So half us decided to head back to Aliso Creek, and the other half decided to stay behind and dodge the stupid beach patrol. Well as you can see, we ended up with the sperm soaked fish and the other group ended up with nothing but sand.

Feast for a King...

Ok, so this Japanese dude decides to make a cooking device using his energy from his USB ports... Couldn't he come up with a device that can cook more than a hamster size portion? I want to see this ass try cooking his Thanksgiving turkey on that grill!

1 Year Anniversary!

Our 1st year anniversary! Yes, we saved the top of our wedding cake. I'm pretty amazed that it wasn't ruined in my parents freezer. You don't understand how over stuffed their freezer can get! Between the tritip, frozen shrimp, potstickers, Luigi's Ice, frozen fish I caught on last years fishing trips, cream puffs from 3 years ago, vanilla ice cream with extra freezer burn... after all that shit, my parents managed to keep our cake in perfect condition! Thanks mom & dad!

Long Beach 1/2 Day Free Fishing

That's Peter Moua's drunken Mexican friend Efren. This fool got stupid drunk by 10:30am. He was already drinking his cervezas by 7am before we even got on the boat. This drunk bastard, almost go into it with this other Mexican on the boat over some shit that happened on the boat 3 months prior. Now that's grudge if I ever heard of one! Way to go Efren!

Del Mar Races

We decided to do our annual trip to the Del Mar Horse Track with the family. Well since we were pretty close the the beach the heat wasn't too bad. Even though my ass crack had enough sweat to fill a Starbucks Venti, I still enojoyed watching these little horses race around the track. This is our second time going, I still dont get what all the hype is all about. It's nothing like the movies make it seem. There are no ladies wearing their oversized hats, and no guys wearing their nice suits and smoking the cigars. The crowd is very similar to the type of people who attend the OC fairground swapmeet. It's just real casual atmosphere, and a bunch of people watching these stupid little men wearing bright gay looking outfits riding these horses around a track. Overall this was just a cool weekend to hang out with everyone.

On the look out for a DVR

Well the past couple of months, I've been on the look out for a DVR. For those of you who don't know what that is, I'm not going to bother explaining. Just "Google" it and come see me when you're out of the 90's and back in 2006. Anyways, Lam has been wanting to record some of her shows during those days she has to work late, and I just want another reason to buy another toy! So I was trying to convince her the last night that I came across a pretty good one and it came with a free 73" DLP (again, if you dont know what DLP means, you know what to do). Anyways, that didn't fly so I guess I'm back to the drawing boards...

The Mitsubishi 73-inch DLP™ HDTV offers advanced features for a rich, bright picture like you've never seen before. Includes 1080p™ video conversion, 160 GB internal DVR

New Mini Cell Phone PDA

Well my friend just got back from her trip to Japan and Hong Kong. She came back with this ridiculously small PDA cell phone. You might be asking how do you dial, well you know how PDA's use the stylus... Yup, you have to bust out the small ass stylus to call your mom. Talk about inconvenient! You know that shit didnt come from Japan, only Hong Kong would come up with such a useless gadget.

Shabu Shabu Time!

Shabu-Shabu: しゃぶしゃぶ), also spelled syabu-syabu, is a Japanese variant of hot pot. The dish is related to sukiyaki in style, where both uses thinly sliced meat and vegetables, and usually served with dipping sauces. However, it is starkly different in taste; shabu-shabu is more savory and less sweet than sukiyaki. It is considered a winter dish but is eaten year-round.

Yeah, it's pretty simple to make, but a damn bitch to clean up! I don't know why we need 4 dishes per person... I think it would have been better if we just used one bowl for all the stuff. Mix the rice, all the sauces, and the shabu-shabu up and then you're all set! I figured there mus have been over 45 stupid dishes not including the other bullshit serving plates and trays to clean up. Thank god I didnt have to wash the dishes! Love ya fella!

Home Loan Experts

Ok, besides my venture with Tho I've also started with a mortgage company by the name of Home Loan Experts. Some of you might have heard of our sister company World Savings, which was just acquired by the 4th largest bank nationwide Wachovia. Being that I've been in the mortgage biz the past 10 years, that's all I know so I guess I need to stay in this arena. Plus I need to feed MLI with more funds so we can acquire more properties Ok, I think I just realized that I haven't linked or discussed my other venture. I've seem to sent an email to family, but not really told anyone else about my company. My friend and I decided to open our own REI (real estate investment) company. We've been working on deals and buying long term deals the past couple of years, but we recently decided to take the next step and start doing other types of short term REI's. So we've created our company Major League Investors, LLC. If you wanna check out our site, you can go to www.wearemli.com . Yes, there are errors all over that site! If you want, just shoot either of us an email on changes or suggestions, we loved to hear anything anyone has to say, including negative feedback! Since I don't have a college education to fall back on... I'm still doing loans, since thats my background the past 10 years, besides it has been very lucrative for me.

Duck tongues anyone?

Ok, so Lam and I were picking up some stuff at 99 Ranch Market. For those of you who dont know (you white peeps) it's an Asian market. Anyways, we were shopping for some stuff for our Thursday night dinner. Well while I was waiting for Lam, I was checking out some of the weird stuff they had in stock. You know, the usual stuff like fish heads for 99 cents a pound, or that cool looking fish sauce that shows the fish eye balls in the bottle, or how about Ox tails (is that shit really an Ox's tail?) Who'd wanna eat something that was close to an Ox ass? No me, thats for sure! So tell me, who in the hell eats Duck Tongues? First of all, it's gotta be a crime to rip out the tongues off these poor little ducks, then its gotta be a damn felony for trying to sell this shit for $12.00 a pound! All I know, that aint from my peeps... that's gotta be the Chinese! I'll ask one of my good friends Timmy if he eats that. Hell, this guy eats dirty chicken feet!

Found this video clip from our Honeymoon. Hanauma Bay baby!

Tuesday, April 25, 2006

The past couple of months, Lam and I have been attending these Thursday nite dinners. Between David & Teresa's house, Chung's place, now we've been added to the rotation to cook for the group. And by the end of the nite it becomes a drinking session for no damn reason.

Cheers!

As you can see, after a few bottles it can settle everyone down...
