Shabu-Shabu: しゃぶしゃぶ), also spelled syabu-syabu, is a Japanese variant of hot pot. The dish is related to sukiyaki in style, where both uses thinly sliced meat and vegetables, and usually served with dipping sauces. However, it is starkly different in taste; shabu-shabu is more savory and less sweet than sukiyaki. It is considered a winter dish but is eaten year-round.
Yeah, it's pretty simple to make, but a damn bitch to clean up! I don't know why we need 4 dishes per person... I think it would have been better if we just used one bowl for all the stuff. Mix the rice, all the sauces, and the shabu-shabu up and then you're all set! I figured there mus have been over 45 stupid dishes not including the other bullshit serving plates and trays to clean up. Thank god I didnt have to wash the dishes! Love ya fella!
